Truly an image that needs no introduction. The titular image shown here, also known as "Smile Dog", is the central point of one of the internet's most prolific and historic creepypastas.

The story of Smile Dog is one of a cursed image that makes its rounds, driving those that view it to spread the image, and thus spread the infection. If not... Well, you can probably guess.

The creepypasta itself was supposedly written by the author "Michael Lutz", otherwise known as "WarrenIsDead". Much like Jeff The Killer, the image existed before the story ever did.

Although the exact origins of the Smile Dog picture are unknown, it is rumored to have originated on 4Chan. And based on past track records, I'd say that's an easy assumption to make.

There's actually an alternate version of the Smile Dog picture. Perhaps more well known than the one I used here.

This picture below has been circulated around as a potential origin for the image above. Or at least one of the pictures used to create it. I don't know if it was for sure, but I figured I might as well share it just in case.
