DEGENERATIVE - Dev Log 01
Yesterday I finally posted Chapter 03 of DEGENERATIVE, titled "Doom and Gloom". It took me nearly a whole year to actually get around to making this episode. Which is a little pathetic.
Something I've simply discovered is that I'm just not as into video making as I am with something like writing. Video editing, especially for something like DEGENERATIVE, just takes so long.
But DEGENERATIVE in particular is something that takes a lot of time in multiple aspects, as any show would. Writing the script, editing the images, and then finally editing the actual video itself. Of course, all of DEGENERATIVE is made by me alone too. So its not like I can delegate any of the work either.
I still enjoy making the series, don't get me wrong. Its just something that takes a lot out of me. Personally.
It doesn't help that it feels like nobody watches it, or really cares about it. I know that's how it is for all my works I make, I'm the only one that reads them. But for something like DEGENERATIVE I think its a bit more disheartening.
Writing comes so naturally to me, that I don't really see it as lost time when something like Creepy Saga or Creature Feature doesn't get looked at. But because DEGENERATIVE is so time consuming, it hurts a lot more to see it recieve zero attention.
Maybe one day someone will find it and enjoy it, years down the line when its nothing more than a relic.
I wonder if DEGENERATIVE will ever be finished either. At the rate it takes me to put out episodes, I just don't know if it will.
Even now I speak into the void about my project. Its a part of my heart, but nobody sees it. Maybe its for the best though. DEGENERATIVE isn't without its faults. And its not without its problems. With no eyes on it, there's no one to see those faults. Maybe some skeletons are best left in the closet. You know?
